How do I apply for legal help?
To apply for help from Legal Aid, please contact Legal Aid’s Intake Hotline.

Intake Hotline Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9-11:30 a.m. and 1-3:30 p.m.
Hotline Numbers:
536-4302 on Oahu, OR 1-800-499-4302 on the Neighbor Islands

You may also walk in to Legal Aid’s Honolulu Office at 924 Bethel Street during Intake Hotline Hours.

Do I qualify for legal help?
To see if you qualify for Legal Aid, please call our Intake Hotline, walk in to our Honolulu office. Please be prepared to provide information about your household size, gross monthly income & assets, your specific legal issue, and the names of any other individuals who may be involved.

How can Legal Aid help me?
Legal Aid offers help with a variety of civil legal issues, including housing law, consumer law, family law, and issues involving public benefits. Legal Aid also offers help with senior legal issues, housing discrimination, tax issues, and issues affecting the homeless. Legal Aid does NOT help with criminal or personal injury matters.
